On or about Tuesday, January 25th, 2022, around 1:00 in the morning, a serious accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle sent one woman to the hospital. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the exchange of South Main and South Sam Houston Parkway in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the HPD said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was injured when the car she was driving allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of South Main and South Sam Houston Parkway when the car struck the side of a tractor-trailer in the intersection. Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital in serious condition. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of South Main Street and South Sam Houston Parkway is on the southwest side of Houston.
Officials are still looking into the accident.
