On or about Tuesday, October 20th, 2020, around 11:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car sent one individual to the hospital. The accident happened at the intersection of State Farm Road and Highway 83 in North Platte, Nebraska.

Authorities have said that one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the car they were in was allegedly struck by a tanker truck while the car was turning. One individual from the car was taken to nearby Great Plains Health to be treated for their injuries.

Reviewing the intersection on Google Earth shows that Highway 83 is four lanes that run north and south, while State Farm Road is two lanes that run east and west. The intersection is controlled by a stoplight. North Platte is situated about 146 miles west of Grand Island.

Officials expect to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
