Details:
On or about Saturday, September 18th, 2021, around 11:15 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV sent a 70-year-old man to the hospital. Officers from the NYPD said the accident was reported along Third Street not far from the intersection with 50th Street in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn, New York.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified 70-year-old man was injured when the SUV he was driving allegedly struck the rear of a parked tractor-trailer along Third Street. Emergency responders transported the driver of the SUV to NYU Langone Hospital where he was being treated for critical injuries. Police did not report any other injuries in their statement on the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident in Sunset Park is situated on the east side of Brooklyn.
Police are still investigating.
