On or about Wednesday, November 10th, 2021, around 10:00 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a cyclist sent one person to the hospital. Local officials said the accident was reported at the intersection of Third Avenue and Eighth Street in New Brighton, Pennsylvania.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when they were allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as they were riding their bike along or across the lanes of traffic near the intersection of Third Avenue and Eighth Street. Paramedics transported the cyclist to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, New Brighton is about 33 miles north of downtown Pittsburgh.
