I was waiting to turn left at the light to return my agency vehicle. The man was on my right, standing on the bridge by the crosswalk. He waited for the truck to come, he had a do not walk light. I saw him walk fast across two lanes and directly into the path of the truck. Something rolled down the street, I didn’t want to know what. There was a police man directly behind my agency odyssey, and they pulled in front of me and put the lights on. I didn’t know what to do, and couldn’t stop screaming. I thought I’d be in the way, so I went right to go around the block away from the scene. I called them later to say what I saw, but they never called back. I’m still haunted by this, and wonder if he’s OK or not.
