On or about Monday, July 5th, 2021, around 5:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV sent one person to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident happened on the westbound side of Interstate 10 near the exchange with Transmountain Road in El Paso, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when a tractor-trailer and an SUV collided under unknown conditions on Interstate 10 near the exchange with Transmountain Road. Paramedics transported one person to a nearby hospital after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 10 runs north and south through the center of El Paso, with the exchange of Transmountain Road a short distance north of downtown.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
