On or about Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, around 12:02 in the morning, a head-on collision between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler towing cattle sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 395 near the intersection with Main Street in Hesperia, California.
Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly crossed over the center line and struck the cattle truck they were driving. Emergency responders cut the driver of the cattle truck free and transported them to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the collision. The driver of the other tractor-trailer was uninjured in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 395 runs north and south through the eastern edge of Hesperia, which is situated about 78 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles.
