Details:
On or about Tuesday, April 6th, 2021, a hit-and-run accident with a tractor-trailer sent a pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries. State Police said the accident was reported along Highway 35 near the intersection with Cornstalk Road in Mason County, West Virgina.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said a truck driver had exited his vehicle following a previous accident when he was hit by a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer fled the scene after the accident. Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital before he was airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he was last reported in stable condition.
Police are still trying to track down the tractor-trailer, but did not give a description of the truck.
Authorities hope to release more information as soon as it becomes available.
