Details:
On or about Thursday, November 11th, 2021, around 7:15 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian sent a 42-year-old woman to the hospital. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along Highway 34 just outside Height of Land Township in Becker County, Minnesota.
Law enforcement spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified 42-year-old woman was seriously injured when she was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer while she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross Highway 34. The tractor-trailer that struck the woman fled the scene following the accident. Paramedics transported the woman to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Height of Land Township, which is about 206 miles northwest of Minneapolis.
Police are still looking into the cause of the accident.
