On or about Thursday, March 25th, 2021, around 9:47 in the morning, an accident between a heavy-duty tow truck and a tractor-trailer sent one person to the hospital. Authorities said the accident happened along the southbound side of Interstate 59 just outside Moselle in Jones County, Mississippi.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when the heavy-duty tow truck they were driving and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances. First responders transported the driver of the tow truck to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
The accident wound up blocking all of the southbound lanes of Interstate 59 for several hours as police tended to the scene.
Investigators hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
