On or about Tuesday, March 1st, 2022, around 7:00 in the evening, an accident between a cyclist and a train sent one woman to the hospital. Officers from the area said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of South First Street and Santos Street in Abilene, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Abilene Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was injured when she was allegedly struck by a train as she was riding her bike at the intersection of South First Street and Santos Street. Emergency responders rushed the woman to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
