On or about Thursday, September 30th, 2021, around 6:00 in the evening, an accident between an SUV and a pickup truck towing a camper sent one person to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 277 and Old Ballinger Highway in San Angelo, Texas.

Deputies from the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when the SUV they were driving allegedly failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 277 and Old Ballinger Highway when it was broadsided by a pickup truck towing a trailer. Paramedics transported the driver of the SUV to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.

According to Google Maps, San Angelo is about 211 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio.

Officials are still investigating the collision.
