Details:
On or about Tuesday, October 13th, 2020, around 6:15 in the morning, an accident between a bakery delivery van and a pedestrian left an unidentified man dead. Police said the accident happened on Ramon Avenue, about 100 feet away from the intersection with Greenfall Road in Palm Springs, California.
Law enforcement spokespeople said that an as-of-yet unidentified male was killed when he was hit by a Sherman’s Deli & Bakery van while he was walking near or across Ramon Avenue. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene a short time after they arrived. The driver of the van was unhurt.
An examination of Ramon Avenue on Google Maps shows that it is four lanes with a shared turn lane dividing east and westbound traffic.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene of the accident to aid in the investigation.
