Details:
On or about Sunday, March 6th, 2022, around 5:00 in the evening, a serious boating accident left one individual dead. Law enforcement representatives from the area said the accident was reported along Sabine Lake in Jefferson County, Texas.
Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the boat they were on crashed under unknown conditions. Officials said the victim was ejected from the boat in the accident and was subsequently pronounced dead of their injuries.
According to Google Maps, Sabine Lake is about 96 miles east of downtown Houston.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
