On or about Saturday, September 18th, 2021, around 8:15 at night, an accident between a box truck and a pedestrian left a 19-year-old woman dead. Officials from the area said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of 40th Street North and Webb Road in Wichita, Kansas.
Wichita Police said an as-of-yet unidentified 19-year-old woman was killed when she was allegedly struck by a box truck as she was walking alongside or attempting to cross the lanes of traffic near the intersection of 40th Street North and Webb Road. Paramedics pronounced the 19-year-old woman dead a short time after they responded to the scene of the incident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of 40th Street North and Webb Road is situated on the northeast side of Wichita.
Police are still investigating.
