On or about Tuesday, March 1st, 2022, around 6:15 in the morning, an accident between a scooter and a box truck left one individual dead. Officers from the NYPD said the accident was reported along Food Center Drive in the Bronx, New York.
Representatives from the New York Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a turning box truck as they were riding their scooter on Food Center Drive. Paramedics pronounced the scooter driver dead a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is in the Hunts Point neighborhood.
Police are still working to pin down the circumstances surrounding the accident.
