On or about Saturday, October 30th, 2021, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a box truck and a pickup truck towing a trailer claimed the life of a 35-year-old man from Fort Atkinson. Troopers from the WSP said the accident was reported along Highway 26 in Milton, Wisconsin.

Deputies from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office said an as-of-yet unidentified 35-year-old man was killed when the box truck he was a passenger in allegedly struck the back of a pickup truck towing a trailer while they were driving along Highway 26. Emergency responders pronounced the male passenger in the box truck dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident.

According to Google Maps, Highway 26 runs north and south through Milton, which is about 65 miles west of downtown Milwaukee.

Authorities are still investigating the collision.
