On or about Monday, February 22nd, 2021, around 5:00 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a pickup left one person dead. Troopers from the ASP said the accident happened along Interstate 10 near the exchange with Interstate 17 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Local law enforcement personnel said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when a pickup truck and a box truck collided under unknown conditions. First responders pronounced the driver of the pickup truck dead at the scene a short time after they arrived. The driver of the box truck did not report injuries following the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is just a few miles southeast of downtown Phoenix.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
