Details:
On or about Thursday, April 22nd, 2021, around 12:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a box truck and a car left one individual dead. Police said the accident was reported on the southbound side of Interstate 15 in Temecula, California.
Troopers from the CHP said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when a box truck allegedly rear-ended a Toyota Prius in the southbound lanes. Paramedics pronounced one person in the Prius dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident. The driver of the box truck was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Interstate 15 runs north and south through Temecula, which is about 58 miles north of San Diego, according to Google Maps.
California Highway Patrol assisted at the scene of the accident.
