Details:
On or about Friday, January 29th, 2021, around 6:45 in the morning, an accident between two box trucks left one person dead. Troopers from the MSP said the accident happened on the northbound side of Interstate 75 Rattalee Lake Road in Springfield Township, Michigan.
Representatives from the Michigan State Police said one person was killed when the box truck they were driving allegedly struck the back of another box truck that had stopped in the roadway following a previous accident. Paramedics pronounced one person dead at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary report.
Interstate 75 is six lanes in the area, with a wide, grassy median dividing north and southbound traffic.
State and local law enforcement are still investigating the accident.
