On or about Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021, around 10:30 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a pickup truck left one woman dead. Investigators said the accident was reported on Lobelia Road near the intersection with McPherson Road in Vass, North Carolina.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when her pickup truck and a box truck collided under unknown circumstances. After the initial collision, the box truck rolled off the side of the roadway. Paramedics pronounced the woman in the pickup truck dead of her injuries at the scene of the accident. The driver and passenger in the box truck were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Lobelia Road runs east and west through the town of Vass, which is about 101 miles east of Charlotte.
Officials are still investigating the crash.
