Details:
On or about Saturday, December 12th, 2020, around 6:00 in the evening, an accident between a box truck and a pedestrian left one person dead. Police spokespeople said the accident happened in the 1300 block of East Rand Road in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Police said an as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when they were allegedly struck by a box truck while crossing the inside lane. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene a short time after arrived.
Deputies from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office closed Rand Road between homas Street and Dryden Place in order to investigate the fatal accident.
Officials hope to release the findings of their investigation as soon as they become available.
