On or about Tuesday, October 26th, 2021, around 6:22 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a 72-year-old local man. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported along Route 33 near the exchange with Woodward Road in Manalapan, New Jersey.
Investigators said an as-of-yet unidentified 72-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving and a box truck collided under unspecified circumstances while driving along Route 33. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead a short time after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if he died at the scene or after he was rushed to a nearby hospital.
