On or about Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, around 4:45 in the morning, a serious accident between a box truck and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Representatives from the FHP said the accident was reported along State Road 31 in Charlotte County, Florida.
Spokespeople from the Florida Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the passenger vehicle they were in and a box truck collided under unspecified conditions along SR 31. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial report on the incidnet.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with Neal Road.
