Details:
On or about Monday, February 8th, 2021, around 12:49 in the afternoon, an accident between a box truck and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Authorities said the accident happened on the southbound side of Interstate 495 in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
Troopers from the MSP said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when the box truck they were driving allegedly collided with an 18-wheeler on the shoulder of the interstate. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the box truck dead after they arrived. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary statement.
Interstate 495 runs through the center of Marlborough, which is located about 32 miles west of downtown Boston.
State Police and local authorities are investigating the accident.
