On or about Thursday, May 12th, 2022, around 11:58 at night, a single-vehicle car accident left one person dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along East Ben White Boulevard in Austin, Texas.
Officers from the Austin Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the passenger vehicle they were in allegedly veered off the side of East Ben White Boulevard. Paramedics rushed the driver of the vehicle to South Austin Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Police did not mention any other injuries or vehicles in their statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the crash is not far from the intersection with Montopolis Drive.
Officials are still working to pin down the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
