Details:
On or about Monday, March 21st, 2022, around 11:05 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along East Cesar Chavez Street not far from the intersection with North Pleasant Valley Road in Austin, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Austin Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a passing motorist as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic in the 3000 block of East Cesar Chavez Street. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead of his injuries at the scene.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the east side of Austin.
Police are still investigating the incident.
