Details:
On or about Friday, December 31st, 2021, around 8:00 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Deputies from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported on East Main Street at or near the intersection with Lamar Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Officers from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a passing motorist as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of East Main Street. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead from his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southeast side of Nacogdoches.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
