On or about Sunday, February 20th, 2022, around 7:05 in the evening, an accident between a pickup truck and a pedestrian left a 42-year-old woman dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the Eastex Freeway near the exchange with Northpark Drive in Houston, Texas.
Investigators said an as-of-yet unidentified 42-year-old woman was killed when she was allegedly struck by a vehicle while she was standing at the scene of a previous hit-and-run accident. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the far north side of Houston.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
