On or about Friday, February 25th, 2022, around 8:30 in the evening, a hit-and-run accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left one individual dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along FM 1960 in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a vehicle as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on FM 1960. After the initial accident the vehicle fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the northwest side of Houston.
Police are still looking for the driver and vehicle that fled the scene.
