On or about Sunday, June 5th, 2022, around 2:45 in the afternoon, a serious single-vehicle car accident left one individual dead. Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 78 in Kirby, Texas.
Representatives from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the passenger vehicle they were in allegedly veered off the side of FM 78 and slammed into a pole a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics pronounced one person in the vehicle dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Farm-to-Market Road 78 cuts east and west into Kirby.
Authorities are still working to pin down what happened in the crash.
