Details:
On or about Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, around 2:15 in the morning, a major two-vehicle accident left one individual dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Fondren Road at or near the intersection with Bellaire Boulevard in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the HPD said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a Honda Accord allegedly ran a red light and collided with a pickup truck in the intersection on Fondren Road. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the Honda Accord dead of their injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. It is not immediately clear if the driver of the pickup truck was injured.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Fondren Road is a short distance southwest of downtown Houston.
Authorities are still investigating.
