Details:
On or about Monday, February 21st, 2022, around 8:30 at night, an accident between a pickup truck and a pedestrian left one person dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported in the 1900 block of Fourth Street in Longview, Texas.
Investigators from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a pickup truck as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Fourth Street. Emergency responders rushed the pedestrian to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the north side of Longview.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
