Details:
On or about Sunday, May 15th, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left one individual dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Highway 183 in Austin, Texas.
Representatives from the Austin Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a vehicle as they were walking alongside or tried to cross the lanes of traffic on I-35. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries at the scene of the incident. It is not clear if the vehicle stayed at the scene or fled.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near the exchange with Interstate 35.
Police are still investigating the incident.
