On or about Wednesday, April 6th, 2022, sometime in the hours after dark, an accident with a passenger in a vehicle left one person dead. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 290 in Harris County, Texas.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when she allegedly jumped from a moving vehicle while they were driving down Highway 290. Emergency responders rushed the passenger to the hospital with injuries where they succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Cypress, about 50 miles northwest of downtown Houston.
Police are still investigating the accident.
