On or about Tuesday, March 1st, 2022, around 8:00 at night, a serious single-vehicle car accident left one individual dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of East Highway 80 and Loop 322 in Abilene, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the pickup truck they were in allegedly collided with a bridge pillar when it drove off the side of the roadway at or near the intersection of East Highway 80 and Loop 322. Emergency responders pronounced the drive of the pickup truck dead of their injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of East Highway 80 and Loop 322 is on the east side of Abilene.
Police are still trying to pin down all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
