Details:
On or about Thursday, January 13th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a road worker left one individual dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Highway 90 not far from the exchange with Farm-to-Market Road 2100 in Crosby, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as they may have been working with a road cleanup crew along Highway 90. Emergency responders pronounced the road worker dead of their injuries a short time after the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles or injuries in their statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 24 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
