On or about Sunday, June 12th, 2022, around 11:00 at night, a major two-vehicle car accident left a 19-year-old dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 90 in Liberty, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified 19-year-old was killed when the vehicle they were driving allegedly hit another car head-on while attempting to pass a tractor-trailer along Highway 90. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead of his injuries a short time after the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Ames.
Police are still investigating the crash.
