Details:
On or about Saturday, January 1st, 2022, around 1:00 in the morning, a major accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left one individual. Officers from the EPPD said the accident was reported along Interstate 10 just outside Vinton in far west El Paso, Texas.
Investigators from the El Paso Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a passing motorist as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of I-10 near the Vinton exit. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries when they arrived at the scene of the incidnet.
Officials noted that the El Paso Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons (CAP) Unit was now investigating the accident, but did not elaborate further.
