On or about Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, around 9:06 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left one individual dead. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 35 in Travis County, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a passing vehicle as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of I-35. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near the exchange with Grand Avenue Parkway on the north side of Travis County.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
