Details:
On or about Monday, December 20th, 2021, around 3:00 in the morning, a major head-on accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV left one individual dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 45 just outside Palmer in Ellis County, Texas.
Authorities from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the SUV they were driving allegedly crossed over the center line of Interstate 45 when it slammed into a tractor-trailer head-on. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the SUV dead of their injuries a short time after the collision. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 27 miles south of downtown Dallas.
Police are still investigating the accident.
