Details:
On or about Saturday, April 16th, 2022, around 9:00 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Authorities from the EPPD said the accident was reported along the westbound lanes of Loop 375 in El Paso, Texas.
Officers from the El Paso Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when he was allegedly hit by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by Paul Barraza as the victim was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Loop 375. Emergency responders rushed the pedestrian to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after their arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Executive Boulevard.
Officials are still working to pin down what happened in the accident.
