Details:
On or about Thursday, January 6th, 2022, around 9:30 at night an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left one man dead. Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Loop 410 not far from the exchange with Culebra Road in San Antonio, Texas.
Spokespeople from the San Antonio Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a passing motorist as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on Loop 410. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the incident. The driver of the car was unhurt.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Loop 410 and Culebra Road is on the west side of San Antonio.
Police are still working to determine all the factors that may have played a role in the accident.
