Details:
On or about Sunday, December 5th, 2021, around 12:00 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Officers from the DPD said the accident was reported at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas, Texas.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when she was allegedly struck by a passing motorist while she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic at Oak Lawn and Maple Avenue. Emergency responders rushed the woman to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 4 miles north of downtown Dallas.
Police are still investigating.
