On or about Saturday, June 25th, 2022, around 10:00 at night, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left one person dead. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Minnesota Avenue in Brownsville, Texas.
Local law enforcement representatives said one as0of-yet unidentified individual was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle while he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Minnesota Avenue. Emergency responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with Padre Island Highway.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
