On or about Thursday, March 31st, 2022, around 1:00 in the morning, a fiery single-vehicle car accident sent one individual to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident occurred on the Dallas North Tollway near the Frankford Road exit in Dallas, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the SUV they were driving allegedly lost control and slammed into a number of trees and a utility pole a short distance off the pavement. After the initial accident the SUV burst into flames. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the SUV dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of the Dallas North Tollway and Frankford Road is about 18 miles north of downtown Dallas.
Authorities are still investigating the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
