Details:
On or about Wednesday, March 16th, 2022, sometime in the evening hours, a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left one person dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Ridgecrest Drive in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a passing motorist as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Ridgecrest Drive. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the northwest side of Houston.
Authorities are still trying to find the driver and vehicle that fled the scene of the accident.
