Details:
On or about Sunday, February 6th, 2022, sometime in the hours after dark, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left a 48-year-old man dead. Officials from the DPS said the accident was reported along San Jacinto Lane at the intersection with Restmeyer Street in Bryan, Texas.
Deputies from the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office said 48-year-old Henry Perez was killed when he was allegedly struck by a passing vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on San Jacinto Lane. Emergency responders rushed Perez to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary statement.
According to Google Maps, Bryan is about 102 miles northeast of downtown Austin.
Police are still investigating the accident.
