On or about Saturday, April 30th, 2022, around 11:05 at night, a single-vehicle car accident left a 41-year-old woman dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 6800 block of Scott Street in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified 41-year-old woman was killed when the passenger vehicle she was diving allegedly veered off the side of Scott Street and slammed into a tree in the median a short distance off the roadway. Paramedics pronounced the woman in the car dead of her injuries a short time after the accident.
Police have said they believe alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the 6800 block of Scott Street is on the south side of Houston.
Officials are still looking into the cause of the accident.
