On or about Saturday, January 1st, 2022, around 6:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle car accident left one individual dead. Representatives from the Travis County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Highway 183 in Austin, Texas.
Authorities from the TCSO said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the passenger vehicle they were in allegedly slammed into a tree when it skidded off the side of Highway 183. Police did not specify which direction the vehicle was traveling at the time of the accident. Emergency responders pronounced one individual in the vehicle dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the south side of Austin, not far from the town of Creedmoor.
Police are still investigating the accident.
